Dublin Airport Hotel Parking
A hotel with parking near Dublin Airport solves a specific problem: the early departure. If your flight leaves at 6am and you live two or three hours away, driving through the night is tiring and leaves no margin for traffic or delays. Staying near the airport the night before, leaving your car at the hotel for the duration of your trip and taking the hotel shuttle to the terminal removes that risk. Several hotels also sell parking on its own. This guide compares the main airport hotels with parking on the details that matter: who can use the parking, shuttle hours, pick-up points, vehicle limits and the booking terms that differ from the airport car parks.
The main Dublin Airport hotels with parking are the Maldron Hotel Dublin Airport, Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport, Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport, Premier Inn Dublin Airport and Metro Hotel Dublin Airport. Most offer Park, Stay and Fly packages that combine a night's accommodation with parking for the length of your trip, plus a shuttle to the terminals. Parking only for 8 days starts from €75.99 at the Crowne Plaza and €89.99 at the Clayton through us.
The rules vary more than most travellers expect. Some hotels sell parking to non-residents, others reserve it or their shuttle for hotel guests, and shuttle hours range from 24/7 to daytime only. Check these points before you book.

Maldron Hotel Dublin Airport
The Maldron is the closest hotel to the terminals, set within the airport campus about a five-minute walk from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. That proximity makes it the strongest choice for very early departures, because you can walk to check-in rather than depend on a shuttle.
The hotel runs a complimentary 24-hour courtesy bus to both terminals, departing every 25 to 30 minutes. Courtesy phones are available in both terminals, and the Dublin Airport Coach Park at Zone 16 is a short walk from the hotel.
The key restriction is that secure on-site parking is available to hotel patrons only. You cannot book parking at the Maldron without a room. Parking carries a daily charge, must be pre-booked and is added when you complete your room reservation. The car park includes accessible spaces, and EV charging is listed as available. The hotel's Eircode is K67 T6P6.
Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport
The Clayton is the largest hotel parking operation near the airport, with around 1,500 secure spaces across underground and surface car parks. It sells parking both to hotel guests and to non-residents, so you can park there without staying. Parking only through us starts from €89.99 for 8 days.
A free shuttle runs 24 hours a day to Zone 16 at the airport. The hotel quotes departures every 20 to 30 minutes on different pages, and a journey of around 10 minutes over roughly 4 km. Entry and exit use number plate recognition: when your registration matches your online booking, the barrier lifts automatically. If the cameras do not read your plate, press the button to take a ticket, and reception will validate your exit.
The underground car park has a 2 metre height limit and does not accept large commercial vehicles or vehicles towing trailers. Park, Stay and Fly guests are asked to email the hotel's car parking team at least 24 hours before arrival. The Clayton's cancellation terms are stricter than DAA's: cancellation is free up to 24 hours before arrival, after which a €15 fee applies, or the full parking fee if that is less.
Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport
The Crowne Plaza sits in Northwood Park, Santry, about seven minutes' drive from the airport and overlooking a park rather than a runway. It has a secure multi-storey car park with barrier entry and exit and space for over 300 cars, including accessible spaces.
The hotel advertises parking at around €10 per day and states that parking is open to everyone, whether or not you stay; through us, 8 days starts from €75.99. However, it also states that its airport shuttle is strictly for hotel residents. That distinction matters: if you book parking only, confirm with the hotel how you will reach the terminal. For Park, Stay and Fly guests, the electric shuttle runs 24 hours a day every 30 minutes, with collections from Zone 16 in the Coach Park.
The car park has a maximum vehicle height of 2.1 metres, so it is not suitable for high-top vans or campervans.
Premier Inn Dublin Airport
The Premier Inn is at Airside Retail Park in Swords, a short drive north of the airport. It offers a Park and Fly service in its own car park, which is secured with CCTV, fencing, entrance and exit barriers, lighting and regular staff patrols.
The shuttle runs every half hour from about 04:15 to 23:00, and booking platforms list a small per-person fare. On your return, walk out of Arrivals, through the Short Term car park to the far side, where the Premier Inn shuttle collects. Bring the same card you used to make the booking. As with most park and fly products, vehicles are parked at the owner's risk.
Because the shuttle does not run overnight, the Premier Inn suits departures and arrivals within its operating hours. For a flight landing after 23:00, plan an alternative transfer.

Metro Hotel Dublin Airport
The Metro Hotel at Santry Cross on the Ballymun Road offers park and ride in an underground car park with CCTV and barrier entry, and you keep your keys. The shuttle runs from about 04:00 to 23:45, and on your return you call the hotel and wait at Zone 16. The entrance gate has a 2.1 metre height limit. Through us, 8 days starts from €79.99. Is Hotel Park and Fly Cheaper Than Airport Parking?
Parking only at a hotel can compete with DAA's car parks: through us, 8 days starts from €75.99 at the Crowne Plaza and €89.99 at the Clayton, against €64.99 at Holiday Blue and €75.99 at Express Red. A Park, Stay and Fly package costs more in total because it includes a room, but for an early flight it can replace a separate hotel booking or a very early drive.
The right comparison depends on what you would otherwise do:
- If you would drive in on the morning of your flight: compare the hotel's parking-only rate with DAA's long-stay car parks and Park2Travel. A 2026 price snapshot listed a 10-day stay at the Clayton at €95, the same as Holiday Blue and below Express Red at €132.
- If you would stay overnight anyway: a Park, Stay and Fly package usually costs less than booking a room and airport parking separately.
- If you have a 6am flight and a long drive: the value is in reduced risk and better sleep rather than a lower price.

Can You Park at a Dublin Airport Hotel Without Staying?
At some hotels, yes. The Clayton, Premier Inn and Metro Hotel sell parking to non-residents. The Crowne Plaza sells parking to everyone but states its shuttle is for residents. The Maldron restricts parking to hotel patrons only.
This is the most common source of confusion with hotel parking, and booking platforms do not always make it clear. Before you book parking only, confirm three things directly with the hotel:
- Is the car park available to non-residents for the full length of your trip?
- Is the airport shuttle included for parking-only customers, and at what times does it run?
- Is there a per-person shuttle charge?
Which Dublin Airport Hotel Is Closest to the Terminals?
The Maldron Hotel Dublin Airport is the closest, on the airport campus about a five-minute walk from both terminals. The Crowne Plaza is about seven minutes away by car, the Metro Hotel about eight minutes and the Clayton about ten.
Distance affects more than journey time. A hotel within walking distance removes your dependence on the shuttle schedule entirely, which matters most for the first flights of the day and for late arrivals after hotel shuttles stop running.
Where Hotel Shuttles Collect You at the Airport
Most hotel shuttles use the Coach Park at Zone 16, which is signposted from both terminals. That includes the Clayton, Crowne Plaza and Metro Hotel. The Premier Inn collects from beyond the Short Term car park, and the Maldron provides courtesy phones in both terminals.
Several hotel buses, and some park and ride operators, share Zone 16, so check the hotel name on the bus before boarding. DAA's long-stay shuttles use different zones (8, 9 and 21), and Park2Travel uses Zone 9. Save your hotel's pick-up instructions and phone number before you fly.
Choosing the Right Hotel
| Your situation | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| First flight of the day | Maldron | Walking distance to the terminals |
| Parking only, 24-hour shuttle | Clayton | Sells parking to non-residents, 24/7 shuttle |
| Quiet hotel, short transfer | Crowne Plaza | Park-side location, 24/7 shuttle for guests |
| Budget room with parking, daytime flights | Premier Inn | Park and Fly, shuttle within operating hours |
| Covered parking in winter | Metro or Clayton underground | Undercover parking |
| High-top van or campervan | None of the hotel car parks listed | Use Express Red or Park2Travel instead |
What to Check Before Booking Hotel Parking
- Non-resident access: can you park without staying, and is the shuttle included?
- Shuttle hours: does the shuttle run at both your departure and return times?
- Shuttle charges: some hotels charge a small fare per person.
- Height limits: 2 metres at the Clayton underground, 2.1 metres at the Crowne Plaza and Metro.
- Cancellation terms: hotel parking terms often differ from DAA's. The Clayton, for example, charges a fee for cancellations within 24 hours.
- Advance notice: some hotels ask Park, Stay and Fly guests to confirm arrival details in advance.
