Meet and Greet Parking at Dublin Airport
Meet and greet parking at Dublin Airport is the fastest way to get from your car to check-in without paying for the terminal car parks. You drive to an agreed handover point at your terminal, a driver takes your keys and parks your car in a secure car park, and the car is waiting for you when you land. There is no shuttle bus, no hunt for a space and no walk across a car park with luggage.
At Dublin Airport, meet and greet handovers take place at two standard points: Level 2 of Car Park A at Terminal 1, and the departures set-down area at Terminal 2. You call the operator 20 to 30 minutes before arrival, hand over your keys and walk to departures. Through us, an 8-day stay starts from €117.99, and every handover carries a €5 airport levy each way that is not included in the booking price.
Meet and greet operators at Dublin differ more than the prices suggest. Car park location, grace periods, cancellation windows, insurance cover and return arrangements vary from one operator to the next, so compare these terms before you book, not just the price.

How Does Meet and Greet Work at Dublin Airport?
You book in advance, call the operator 20 to 30 minutes before you reach the airport, drive to the handover point for your terminal and give your keys to the driver. The driver takes your car to a secure car park. On your return, you contact the operator after collecting your bags, and the driver brings your car back to the terminal.
On departure
- Check your confirmation. It contains the operator's phone number, the handover point for your terminal and, with some operators, a what3words link or Eircode for your sat nav.
- Call ahead. Phone the operator 20 to 30 minutes before arrival so a driver is waiting at the handover point.
- Drive to the handover point. At Terminal 1, follow signs for parking, enter Car Park A and go to Level 2. At Terminal 2, follow signs for T2 Departures and stop in the set-down area.
- Inspect the car together. The driver checks the car's condition. Take your own photos of all four sides and the dashboard showing mileage and fuel.
- Hand over the keys. Unload your luggage, give the driver your keys and walk to check-in. Pay the €5 airport levy if your operator collects it at drop-off.
On return
- Collect your luggage first. Call or message the operator only once you have cleared passport control and baggage reclaim. Some operators send return instructions by WhatsApp.
- Go to the return point. This is usually the same point as the drop-off, but confirm it, especially if you are landing at a different terminal.
- Check the car against your photos before you drive away, and raise any issue with the driver on the spot.
- Pay the exit levy of €5 at the barrier if applicable.
The handover itself usually takes only a few minutes. The variable is the return: how quickly the driver can bring your car from the operator's car park, which depends on its distance from the airport and how busy the operator is.

Meet and Greet Handover Points: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2
Meet and greet at Terminal 1: Car Park A, Level 2
At Terminal 1, operators including Park N Fly Express and RS Express Parking direct customers into Car Park A and up to Level 2, where the driver meets you. Several operators use the same location for both drop-off and collection. Car Park A sits opposite Terminal 1, so the walk to departures is short. Note that Car Park A has a 1.85 metre height limit.
Meet and greet at Terminal 2: departures set-down area
At Terminal 2, the handover usually takes place in the departures set-down area outside the terminal. Because this is a set-down zone, you must stay with your car until the driver takes over. Dublin Airport warns that vehicles left unattended outside the terminals can be clamped or towed, and reported recovery charges reach €140. Call ahead so the driver is there when you arrive.
Arriving at a different terminal
If you depart from Terminal 1 and return to Terminal 2, or the reverse, tell the operator when you book. Some, such as Dublin Valet Park, state that your car is returned to your arrival terminal. Others use a fixed return point, which may mean a walk between terminals.

Is Meet and Greet Parking at Dublin Airport Safe?
Meet and greet at Dublin Airport is safe when you use an operator that can show where your car is stored, how the car park is secured, that its drivers are insured and how it records your car's condition. Most established operators publish this information. If an operator will not, choose another.
- Car park location. Ask for the address. Operators that publish it let you judge the distance your car will travel and how long the return should take.
- Specific security measures. Look for named features: perimeter fencing, CCTV, floodlighting, barriers, staff patrols or security guards, numbered bays.
- Independent certification. Park Mark, the Safer Parking Award, is a recognised standard. At least one Dublin meet and greet facility lists Park Mark certification.
- Driver insurance and vetting. Confirm that drivers are insured to drive your car and, where stated, vetted. Ask what cover applies while the car is parked and who is liable for damage.
- Condition records. Ask whether the operator photographs the car at handover. Take your own photos regardless.
- Return times and reviews. Read recent independent reviews, focusing on return waiting times and car condition. Customers of at least one lesser-known operator have reported waits of close to an hour on return.
Before handover, remove valuables, toll tags, garage remotes and anything with your home address on it. For security across all parking types, see is Dublin Airport parking safe?
Booking Terms That Differ Between Operators
| Term | What to check | Examples from Dublin operators |
|---|---|---|
| Grace period | How late can you return before extra charges apply? | One product offers 4 hours at the operator's discretion |
| Overstay rate | What is charged beyond the grace period? | €20 per day on the same product |
| Cancellation | How close to the date can you cancel for a refund? | Platform bookings often allow free cancellation up to the day before; one direct operator offers no refund within 48 hours of collection |
| Flight changes | Does the operator monitor flights, or must you call? | Varies; most require a call or message on return |
| Vehicle size | Will your car fit the bays and height limit? | 2.4 m x 4.8 m standard bay; 2.1 m height in one multi-storey; no vans or trailers on some products |
| Levy collection | Paid at the barrier or to the driver? | Both methods are used |
Service Tiers and Extras
- Standard meet and greet: terminal handover and secure parking.
- Premium and flexible tiers: Dublin Valet Park offers Standard, Premium and Flexible options, with the flexible service returning your car to your arrival terminal.
- EV charging: offered by several operators, so your electric car can be returned charged. DAA's long-stay car parks have only two chargers each. See EV charging at Dublin Airport.
- Car cleaning: exterior wash or wash and vacuum while you are away.
Vehicle Restrictions
- Cars must fit a standard parking bay of 2.4 m x 4.8 m on at least one major product.
- Vans, minibuses and vehicles towing trailers are excluded by some operators.
- A 2.1 m height limit applies at one multi-storey meet and greet facility, and Car Park A at Terminal 1 has a 1.85 m limit.
- The car must be taxed, tested and roadworthy, because the driver will take it on public roads.
For vans and campervans, Express Red, which has no height restriction, and Park2Travel, with a 4.40 m entrance, are more practical. See our guide to van and campervan parking at Dublin Airport.
Meet and Greet or Drop & Go?
Dublin Airport's own Drop & Go service delivers a similar result with a different model. It is run by DAA from dedicated zones on Level 2 of Car Park C at Terminal 1 and Level 3 of the Terminal 2 Short Term Car Park. Your car stays in a secure car park on the airport campus, an automated scanner records its condition, and DAA monitors incoming flights. Independent meet and greet is priced below it for an 8-day stay through us (€117.99 against €139.99) and offers extras such as EV charging and cleaning, but storage, terms and processes depend on the operator.
| Independent meet and greet | DAA Drop & Go | |
|---|---|---|
| Handover | T1 Car Park A Level 2, or T2 set-down area | Dedicated zones in T1 Car Park C and T2 Short Term |
| Car stored | Operator's car park, usually off-site | On the airport campus |
| Condition record | Driver inspection, your photos | Automated damage scan |
| Flight delays | Varies by operator | Flights monitored by DAA |
| Extras | EV charging, cleaning (some operators) | Not part of the service |
| Separate airport levy | €5 each way, listed by operators | No separate levy listed |
| Price with us, 8 days | From €117.99 | From €139.99 |

Meet and Greet Parking vs Airport Meet and Greet Services
The term "meet and greet" also covers passenger assistance at Dublin Airport. DAA's Platinum Services offers a chauffeur who meets you off the aircraft, fast-track immigration and a private suite, and chauffeur companies use the term for a driver waiting in Arrivals with a name board. Neither involves parking your car. Make sure the product you book is a parking service.
Who Meet and Greet Suits Best
- Families with young children, who avoid shuttles with buggies and car seats.
- Travellers with reduced mobility, because there is no shuttle and minimal walking.
- Business travellers who want the shortest door-to-departures time.
- EV drivers who want their car returned charged.
- Passengers with bulky luggage, such as golf clubs or ski equipment.
