Park2Travel Dublin Airport
Park2Travel is the largest independent car park serving Dublin Airport and the only private operator of real scale within a few minutes of the terminals. Run by APCOA, Europe's largest parking company, it occupies the former QuickPark site in Cloghran and reopened in March 2025 after five years out of use. In little over a year and a half it has become the main alternative to DAA's own long-stay car parks. This review covers how Park2Travel operates, how it compares on price, what the shuttle and return process involve and where it falls short.
Park2Travel is an off-airport park and ride car park on Old Airport Road, Cloghran, about 1.9 km from Dublin Airport. It has over 6,100 spaces and a free 24-hour shuttle that runs every 12 minutes and reaches the terminals in about 6 minutes. Pre-booked through us, it starts from €34.99 for 3 days and €70.99 for a week.
Park2Travel suits long stays where price and a short transfer both matter. Its main practical differences from the DAA car parks are a single return pick-up point at Terminal 1, a 3-hour grace period for late returns and a 4.40 metre entrance height that accommodates most vans.

Background: From QuickPark to Park2Travel
The site has a history that explains much of Dublin Airport's recent parking market. It operated for years as QuickPark, the airport's main independent long-stay car park, before closing in 2020. When DAA moved to buy it, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission opened an in-depth investigation and, in March 2024, blocked the sale. The regulator found that the deal would have left DAA owning over 90% of the public car parking spaces serving the airport, with a likely effect of higher prices and lower service quality.
APCOA was appointed to manage the site and reopened it as Park2Travel on 10 March 2025, adding more than 6,100 spaces to an airport where peak dates regularly sold out. A year after its decision, the CCPC reviewed the market again and reported more choice, greater supply and lower prices for consumers.
Some booking platforms still list the car park under its old QuickPark name. If you see "Quick Park, Old Airport Road, Cloghran" on a comparison site, it refers to this location.
Directions and Arrival
Park2Travel is off Old Airport Road in Cloghran, close to the Carlton Airport Hotel. Use the Eircode K67 CY68 in your sat nav.
- From the M1 or M50: at the Airport Roundabout, turn left onto the Swords Road. Continue through three sets of traffic lights and turn right just before the Carlton Airport Hotel.
- From the R132 at Santry: turn left immediately after the Carlton Airport Hotel.
Entry is ticketless. The barrier reads your number plate and matches it to your booking, so make sure the registration on your booking is correct, particularly if you are using a different car or a hire vehicle. Once inside, staff direct drivers to available spaces in the designated parking areas. Keep your keys with you: Park2Travel is self-park, not valet.
Before you walk to the bus stop, note your parking zone and the bus stop number. Park2Travel specifically asks customers to do this, and it is the simplest way to find your car quickly on your return.
How Does the Park2Travel Shuttle Work?
The Park2Travel shuttle is free and runs 24 hours a day, every 12 minutes. It takes about 6 minutes from the car park to the airport and drops passengers directly at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 Departures.
After parking, walk to the nearest bus stop within the car park. QR codes at the stops give live information on the next bus, which removes much of the uncertainty that comes with shuttle car parks. The journey itself is short because the car park is close to the terminals, which puts Park2Travel ahead of Holiday Blue on transfer time and broadly level with Express Red.
Total journey time still depends on more than the bus. Allow time for the barrier, finding a space and the walk to the stop, and build in more during early-morning peaks, when Park2Travel has acknowledged congestion at the Terminal 2 drop-off. For a timing plan across all car parks, see our guide on how early to arrive when parking.
Where Is the Park2Travel Pick-Up Point at Dublin Airport?
Park2Travel has a single return pick-up point for both terminals, located outside Terminal 1 in Shuttle Bus Zone 9. Unlike the DAA shuttles, it does not collect from Terminal 2.
- Arriving at Terminal 1: exit the terminal and follow the signs to Shuttle Bus Zone 9.
- Arriving at Terminal 2: exit through the departures doors on the ground floor, turn left and follow the signs for Terminal 1. Cross the road at the pedestrian crossings. The Park2Travel shelter is the first one you reach.
This is the single most important detail for first-time users, and it divides opinion. Regular customers often prefer it, because one fixed point is easy to remember. Others, particularly those landing at Terminal 2 or returning late at night, find the walk and the signage less intuitive, and missing the stop is the most common complaint in customer reviews. Zone 9 is also used by DAA's Express Red shuttle, so check the bus branding before boarding.

Is Park2Travel Cheaper Than Parking at Dublin Airport?
In the CCPC's June 2025 analysis, yes: Park2Travel averaged 21% cheaper than DAA's Express Red and 3.6% cheaper than Holiday Blue. On specific dates, DAA's car parks can be cheaper, so compare prices for your own travel dates. Through us, Park2Travel starts from €34.99 for 3 days, €70.99 for 7 days and €140.99 for 14 days.
The CCPC chose Express Red and Holiday Blue as its comparison because they are similar to Park2Travel in offering and proximity to the airport. Its conclusion supports what many regular travellers report: Park2Travel combines a transfer comparable to Express Red with prices close to Holiday Blue.
Prices are demand-based, though, and a single set of dates can tell a different story. In one 2026 price snapshot published by Irish travel sites, a 10-day stay was listed at €148 at Park2Travel, against €132 at Express Red and €95 at Holiday Blue. Our own checks for 2026 and 2027 dates also found Holiday Blue below Park2Travel's own prices. Park2Travel regularly publishes promotional discount codes, which can change its position significantly on a given booking.
| Length of stay | Park2Travel, pre-booked with us |
|---|---|
| 3 days | From €34.99 |
| 7 days | From €70.99 |
| 14 days | From €140.99 |
Our lowest year-round price for each stay length. Prices vary by date and are higher during school holidays, Christmas and summer. Search your dates for the live price.
Two features of Park2Travel's booking terms help on price. Bookings can be made up to 12 months in advance, and the price is fixed at the time of booking, which protects early bookers from later increases. For a full ranking of every option, see our main guide to Dublin Airport parking.
Booking, Changes and Cancellations
Park2Travel's terms are slightly more flexible than DAA's on amendments.
- Booking window: up to 12 months ahead, with the price locked in.
- Cancellations: a full refund is available if you cancel up to 4 hours before your arrival time, through Manage My Booking.
- Amendments: changes are accepted up to 2 hours before your original arrival time, through the same page. DAA requires 4 hours for both.
Once a booking period has started, it generally cannot be amended. Check your dates carefully before paying, because booking the wrong week is a mistake that is difficult to reverse after the event.
Returning Late: The 3-Hour Grace Period
Park2Travel allows a 3-hour grace period for overstays, which is one of its most useful and least publicised features. If your flight lands late and you exit up to three hours after your booked time, there is no additional charge.
Beyond three hours, you pay for the extra time by scanning the QR code displayed on the signage at the shuttle shelter at the terminal, before you board the bus back to the car park. This is a cleaner process than paying at an exit barrier on a long night, and it is a meaningful advantage for anyone on routes prone to delays.
Security, Facilities and Practical Limits
Security. Park2Travel describes the site as secure, monitored and patrolled, with guaranteed parking availability for pre-booked customers. On-site staff are present to assist on arrival.
Vans and tall vehicles. The 4.40 metre entrance height accommodates high-top vans and most campervans that would not fit the short-term multi-storeys or hotel underground car parks. See our guide to van and campervan parking at Dublin Airport.
Ground surface. Parts of the car park are not fully tarmacked. Several customers note that this makes pulling wheeled suitcases and pushing buggies harder, so allow for it if you are travelling with young children or heavy luggage.
Weather exposure. Bus stops within the car park are open to the elements. On wet or cold days, factor this in when deciding between Park2Travel and an option with covered waiting areas.
EV charging. Park2Travel states that you can charge your vehicle while parked by contacting enquiries@park2travel.ie in advance. Arrange it before you travel rather than on arrival. See our guide to EV charging at Dublin Airport.
Accessible parking. Park2Travel does not publish details of dedicated accessible bays. If accessible parking is essential, contact Park2Travel before booking, or consider Express Red, where DAA publishes its provision. See our guide to disabled parking at Dublin Airport.
What Customers Say
Park2Travel has accumulated tens of thousands of Trustpilot reviews since reopening, with an overall rating in the Excellent band as of [month and year]. Reading across recent reviews, the themes are consistent:
- Praised: easy ticketless entry, staff directing drivers to spaces, short waits for the shuttle in both directions and competitive prices.
- Criticised: difficulty finding the Terminal 1 return stop, especially after landing at Terminal 2, crowding and congestion at peak times, unsurfaced sections of the car park and exposed bus stops.
Review platforms reflect self-selected feedback, so treat ratings as one input among several rather than a definitive measure of quality.
Who Park2Travel Suits Best
- Long-stay holidaymakers looking for a combination of price and a short transfer.
- Van and campervan drivers, given the 4.40 metre entrance height.
- Travellers on delay-prone routes, because of the 3-hour grace period.
- Early planners, who benefit from the 12-month booking window and fixed price.
It is less suited to travellers who need confirmed accessible parking and those who would rather be collected at Terminal 2. Compare it with other independent sites in our guide to off-airport parking at Dublin, and with DAA's car parks in our guide to Dublin Airport long term parking, including Holiday Blue and Express Red.
